When the world is burning, who will fight for it?
Shib-ngrth, I only see those who would rather fuel than fight the flames. They will join the din of the cackling flames and yell to be heard over them and yet do nothing about them.
There can be no middle ground when even the most neutral are forced to pick a side, perhaps. When even the gods have chosen their sides, how can their servants do otherwise? Argue for or against the flames and let them rage all the while.
To return to the days where I only had to observe.

They still cry. They do not understand why they had to die. I do not either. There is nothing I can do for them.
It does not appear that I shall be observing any time soon. There is still more that is required of me. I can no longer act by my own principles but instead what is dictated to me. Had I been able to do that before, I would not be here.
There is no point in apologizing. It would mean nothing to the screaming dead.
